Can I put 77.5 + Spindles and hubs on my 70 dana 44?
I'm not having much luck finding a 71-77.5 replacement hub for my disc conversion, but There lots of 77.5 and up spindles and hubs around my area. say I've got the correct knuckles and backing plates already, would it work if I put the 77.5 spindles and hubs on my axle? the hub is basically the same with bigger bearings, my only concern is the spindle, if there will be enough axle shaft sticking through for hub engagement...

Direct replacement. The only difference is the inner bearing

Oh boy is that good to here. So does that mean the spindles are the same length as well? I haven't got one yet but I'll make the drive tomorrow the get them.

See post number 2. 1978 and up GM used the same spindle for both 1/2 and 3/4 ton. Inner bearing 104949. Everything is the same except for the amount of lug studs and diameter of the rotor, and of course the size of the caliper support. Caliper was a little different (piston diameter) between the 1/2 and 3/4 but will bolt on and work
