For you blazer guys, I found a 72 GMC Jimmy 4x4. The top seems to be excellent, including the rear hatch. Back seat is good. No tears I could see, just needs cleaned. Power brake booster looks intact. Sun visors there, dirty, but servicable. Not a good body panel on it though. Theres more, but you can ask about specific things and I''l try to find out.

I'll admit I'm not a blazer expert. What exactly is the rear seat hold down? The seat in this one looks to be installed as from the factory. Like it was rarely sat in.

The seat hold downs for the rear seat are a clamp looking thingy bolted to the floor that holds the seat down. If you can get some off of it PM me please.

Looking for some interior rear trim pieces. These pieces will bolt at the top of the bedside(inside) on the side of where the top bolts on. they will be chrome, if they are in good shape I'm interested in them. These will only be on the "CST" models mostly. I could also use some nice carpet strip hold-downs for the front and rear of the bed floor.

You can make a few $$ if it still has the factory buckets, a tire carrier, or maybe some tow hooks etc. Just about everything on a blazer can be used by someone somewhere.
I'll appreciate your checking these items out for me.

To answer a couple questions:

I'm in Sleepy Eye, MN, its about 100 miles from Sartell. I grew up in Little Falls.

The gas tank was banged up pretty bad. The straps were there, but not what I'd consider in good shape. Depends how desparate you are.

I'd bet the seat hold downs are there. Whats a fair price for them? I'll check this week about getting those if you're serious.

It might have the inside trim pieces. I'll take another look this week. I saw that the carpet in back was there, but didn't notice the trim pieces. The bucket seat are there, but unless you want to refoam and cover, they are complete toast. No tire carrier, but it had some funky chrome piece mounted on the passenger side of the rear hatch. Any idea what this was for?

What shape did you say the rear hatch is in? If it's in good shape I would be interested in it. See what is needed out of it and them maybe we could figure out shipping to Idaho.

There is one yard south of Sleepy Eye. It has the Jimmy and 1 or 2 other trucks. The trucks don't have much left on them. There is a yard on the east side of New Ulm that has about 6 trucks. Some of those still have some useable pieces left, but I'm not sure how they are to work with. Seemed alright the one time I visited. I also stopped at Windom wrecking last week and found a couple trucks, one with a lot of cool options and he has a blazer there also. The blazer though, he says he bought it to fix himself. I looked it over and it was in worse shape than the Jimmy here in Sleepy Eye. He may sell the whole thing for a reasonable price though.

Daves71k5, I opened the hatch and it worked smoothly, didn't see any cracks, seemed to close and latch good and have a decent seal. I'll check price this week. BTW, my wife is from Idaho Falls. We'll be visiting this next summer. There was a couple good yards up there. They are on the NE side of town and there is also one north of there in Ucon.

It absolutely is just down the road from Walnut Grove. As a matter of fact, I live one block away from the Laura Ingalls Wilder Memorial Hwy (state hwy 14). You just can't make this sh1t up.

If you get the top off. Check the windshield frame at the top corners. Also along the top of the windshield. They are hard to find in good shape.
