armrest in the truck i have ( on a 66 c10 ) ... ?
hello,
i have noticed that they have an armrest on the driver side of the truck and not the passenger side ... was this an option or an aftermarket ... ? because i wouldnt mind finding one for the passenger side

Both sides were technically an option. More drivers opted for their door vs. the passenger door. THe door itself has two cage nuts where the arm rest screws into them so you are pulling on the door itself vs. the just the panel.
BTW I missed drilled mine by about a 1/2" off center, will re-drill and LUCKILY the hold will be covered by the armrest - (thank you truck Angels)

how easy is it to find this option as in this armrest ... ?
are they available aftermarket as in a stock look ... ?

Yes all of the aftermarket placed sell them, if your interior is not too off the beaten path, you should be able to find a close match. I chose to use the stock interior seat cover in White/Gray - See picture of seat cover

I drilled mine off a bit too. Don't go by the template. I would take the panel off, extend some intersecting lines through the holes to outside the panel, put the panel back on and carry the lines onto the panel.
I got the cage nuts at Fastenal. There are some pictures here not too far back on what they look like. One of the vendors like Classic, LMC or Brothers probably sell the arm rest. |
