Body molding question

1970 c10 short bed
Engine and interior are complete.
Got the fenders and hood done in the booth this weekend
(See attached pics).
Anyway. The truck never had lower body molding. Bought kit from LMC. I wasn't expecting it to be that large.
4" high. Is that what stock size is?
Also I'm having a rough time finding exact location of the molding on the truck.
How much of a reveal is seen from the body line.
My best is around 3/8" of an inch. Can anyone with stock trim verify this? Close of pics possibly?
Thanks. RRM

Re: Body molding question

The lower trim is indeed 4" inches, hope these pics help. Happy Resurrection Day!

That helps a ton! Thank you.
Molding is very close to that body line.

Re: Body molding question

I have worked on enough original molding trucks, to find that there seems to be no two the same. I like the top edge to be at the body line.
