Finally got the truck home
Well, after a month of going back and forth to WA from AZ I finally drove the 72 GMC down. Took more time than I thought but had no problems except for a gas cap leaking. I was suprised to get 14 mpg on the highway. Looks like everything is still original in the cab and under the hood. Glad this is behind me. I'd post pics of it but don't know how.

The drive wasn't too bad, the truck actually drove nice. Being a 3/4 ton I thought it would be labor intensive. The bench seat is mint and had plenty of support. We took the long route through Vegas.

How long was that trip? I drove my 72 on about a 3 hour trip with no heater last Jan, Not as good as my new truck, but it was cool all of the looks you get.

The drive was fine. The heat and defrost worked well in the truck. I really didn't need the heat though, the defrost came in handy through WA due to the rain. It doesn't have a/c, something I'll really want in AZ. Dinnut is going to post some pics of it for me. Joe
