Re: brake shoes 1969 panel
It sounds like you may have a 3/4 ton brakes or one of the heavy duty brake options. I seem to recall 2 3/4" brake shoes on a truck sometime in my past. I would try Napa or someone similar. The restoration guys mostly cover only the standard half ton stuff. Lots of the brake parts on these trucks were on many years across several model changes. I would be suprised if they were no longer available. The rear wheel cylinders on my 52 are like 37 thru 82. The other option may be to have yours relined.

Re: brake shoes 1969 panel
Brakes may have been changed, but not ordered on truck.I have original papers on truck where grandfather ordered it. Did order special springs $5 for front and $7 for rear.Funny now days $7 is for 2 bolts, no nuts or washers.
Will try napa store tomorrow, no luck on their website.

Re: brake shoes 1969 panel
Did a little more searching and the 69 truck manual seems to indicate Panels/Suburbans came standard with the 11" x 2 3/4" shoes, while the rest of the line came with the two inch wide as standard. The code is the same for both. Rock Auto shows Monroe BX227 as the ones. Some of the Rock Auto listings show some shoes as for both which just seems wrong.
