Neutral safety switch question

I have read pages and can't find an answer. Is it possible for the switch to work on the purple wires but not the green? My backup lights come on with a jumper but not in any gear. Truck starts only in park and neutral.

Re: Neutral safety switch question

They are separate contacts inside the switch so it is possible they are burnt or somehow bad. You could try a test light at the neutral safety switch, key on, one side will have power, if it doesn't then trace the circuit, it should be fused.
If one side has power then move the shifter while checking the other side for contact power.
