What was I thinking. Project #2

My 46 Stretch cab project is going slow so I had the brilliant idea to buy another project, thinking I could put it together as a beater using the rougher parts it came with and extra parts I already have. I am not going to call it rat rod style but some will because it is going to have rusty/ dented sheet metal. It is sitting on a S10 chassis with a fuel injected 2.8, 5 speed. The guy installed most of the kit from E-Z chassis Swap. More pictures after I unload all the loose parts. In case you have not seen it, here is my other build thread. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=383658 Thanks for looking.

I swear, swirlies (what the s10 ilk call those wheels) flat out SELL projects, they are a good looking wheel for stock.

looks like a good distraction haha. did the guy move the motor back any? I moved my 4.3 back almost 10 inches and truthfully could have gone another 2-3.

I like the wheel also but I do not think I will use them because they will not fit the look that I plan on going for. They are a good looking stock wheel but I want something more old school.

No, he did not move the engine back and that is one of the things already on my list to change. The little bitty V6 is almost touching the radiator and almost all of the transmission is under the hood. Worst part is that he already had the driveshaft made so I will have to have it redone when I move the engine back. I will get more pictures but have been trying to get caught up on mowing after work. I have not even unloaded all the loose parts out of my pick up yet to see what all I have.

Well it needs a little bit more but still a real good start with some of the hard work already done.

Re: What was I thinking. Project #2

I have not had a chance to unload the loose parts yet but here are a few pictures showing how far the engine is sitting forward. Pulley is almost against the radiator and the radiator is forward of where it should be. This is One thing I plan on changing and getting it moved back.
