new time slips from the drags (pic)
hey guys i just had to post my new best e.t for the 68. i went to maple grove yesterday and ran 12.21 @111 mph. ran 12.2 all day but i red lighted in the third round of eliminations. guess my nerves got the best of me, i was up against an 18 second wagon. man is it hard to sit there on the line and watch the guy in the other lane get halfway down the track before you even go. lol oh well, had fun anyway. shocked alot of people to see an old truck run that fast, especially when they saw me grabbin gears! Dev.

something about maple grove always gets the best et's of any other track must be the slight downhill slope the track is on. and yes the track really does slope downhill

That is an awesome sight of a beautiful truck pulling a race truck.
Call me nieve, but what does "red lighted" mean? What kind of wagon was it? |

Good time slips! Your truck runs very consistantly.
I can understand the redlight. It is way to much to ask someone to sit and wait for the green light when the competition is half way down the track. You should be very proud, that truck runs great! Jim |

a redlight is where you go before you get the greenlight. if you move almost at all before you get a green light you get the red light

thanks for all the replies, truck has a 406 smallblock, m-20 muncie 4 speed (car tranny), and the truck 12 bolt with a spool and 4:88 gears. new gears helped, now i see the shift light for about 100 feet before the finish, was running 4:56's with the stock posi until it all blew apart on the line last time out. motor has about 12:1 compression, dart iron eagle heads, solid lunati with 585 lift, an edelbrock victor jr, and a 750 double pumper. i haven't even played with the carb or timing at all since its together, kept breaking the rear every week. maybe 11's someday. Dev.
