2015 Duramax - reg cab long bed -- 2" rear lowering
I am lowering the rear of my 2015 3/4 ton with a McNaughy rear shackle kit. Removed spare, removed thru bolt nuts, ready to knock out bottom thru bolt to allow top bolt above frame rail removal. It appears removing the hitch is not necessary.
Will I need to correct the pinion angle? If so how many degrees? Everything I have found on web says not necessary.

Re: 2015 Duramax - reg cab long bed -- levelling
Ok this stuff may be old news but I used the 1 inch hole in the lowering shackle - trimmed top hole - lowered rear about 1 1/4 inch. Clearances disappear if you go top hole.... Then I gave each front torque arm bolt 4 full turns. Looks like you raise about 3/8 of an inch for every 2 full turns --- total was 3/4 inch --- raised front of truck to take the weight off before adjusting. I still have about of inch bolt left.
This gave me 41 1/4 inch in the front from ground to top center of fender wells and 41 3/4 inch in the rear. Headlights raised 2 inches on low beam. Have not adjusted them yet as I may like them better. Will see if it bothers others. I may go 2 more turns on the front but will test drive first. I need to finish mowing before more rain tonite and tomorrow.
