Ralleys or caps?
First post.
Lowered with early classic spindles 1" front springs and 5" back springs. Ralleys are 255/60, 275/60. Caps are 235/75 all around. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Ralleys or caps?
I like the wider tires so I may have to try the caps on the rallys. Not sure how they would look with white letter vs white walls. The smaller tires ride better too. I also need to put the stock springs back in front to pick it up. Long tube headers keep dragging.

Re: Ralleys or caps?
It's funny that you posted this, I'm having the same debate with the same color truck.
Thank you for posting both pics! Edit: I was also thinking Ralleys without the beauty rings to show the lip (I have 15 x 8's)

Re: Ralleys or caps?
Can you do the caps on the rallys so I can see caps with RWL tires? I'd love to see it.

Re: Ralleys or caps?
Since you have the Chevelle with rallyes, I'd look at it as the both together. Either will look great with the car. The question is do you want a matched pair or a classy combination. I like both and both are classy alone. I love the covers (not caps). I would say both since, as Ledzepp mentioned, you can run the wheelcovers on the rallyes. But for me narrow whitewalls are mandatory for wheelcovers and blackwall or letters are for rallyes.
Gotta be a tough decision since the truck looks fantastic with either. I used to run alternative sets, but tires just don't last even with one set, and I don't have multiple trucks any more.

Caps on the driver side and rallies on the passenger. Solved.

Re: Ralleys or caps?
I like the wheel covers/ white line combo myself. I never cared for rallyes on trucks.

Re: Ralleys or caps?
I like the wheelcovers better, but they both look good.
My friend had the same wheelcovers on his truck and they looked great, a little too great..somebody stole them. Keep them both and swap them out from time to time.

Re: Ralleys or caps?
The caps are getting hard to come by lately, so to be unique, go with them. Or you can just switch them out every once in awhile.

Re: Ralleys or caps?
Sorry, I'm doing caps, so you are stuck with the rallys...
I like caps on a lowered truck, something about it just works for me. Nice truck, it looks great with either, Rg

Re: Ralleys or caps?
No question....the caps look the coolest....and definitely compliment the lowered chassis.
Very nice truck....really nice. Coley

Re: Ralleys or caps?
I like the caps with the whitewalls. They seem to fill the wheel wells more completely. I agree with Coley, they seem to compliment the stance more.

Re: Ralleys or caps?
Both.....Ha! My first instinct was the rally wheels, but......You can always switch em up, and as Zep pointed out you don't have remount tires.
