Tire size recomendation ??
My front tires are 31 10.50 R15 on it now
and thats a bit close on the fender wells, (about 2 off top and 1 1/2 from rear well when turning.) What size would look good and fit, (need metric size 255/265/275/295 ......) it has 4" drop in the front. |

I had the same problem but with 275's scuffing the inner fenders, put 235's on and that fixed it

Id run some 255's up front (or all around if you want to rotate) and some 275's - 295's out back for a nice fit.
Im running 255's all around and with a 4/6 they look mighty nice. On a stock truck they do look kinda dinky. I have some 275's on my 80 that is stock height and they look at home on that ride.

i ran 31 x 11.50 at stock hieght, and it was abit close. never had any clearance issuses, not even now running 32"s. i cant imagine with 4" drop up front. that must be close.

A 255 tire in the 27 or 28 inch range is good. No clearance issues at all. I have 255/50R17's, which are 27" tall, with a 4" drop up front. I would be rubbing if my tires were 31" tall for sure.

I gotta go with: 255/60 or 225/70 --to get to 27.5 inches I am at 29.6 with a 265/70 (3/4" to 1" clearance to fender top- that's a tight b!tch) Last edited by Nvbowtie; 10-24-2003 at 04:21 AM. |
