My new 70 project
Hi all... After a while looking I was able to find my new 1970.
First project was getting the roof off.... after checking out a few threads here I was able to build a hoist that my son and I could use to store the roof. My expectation is this will be long term storage... The goal right now is to drive it in good weather. A PO had stripped the truck in order to paint it.... I'm not going to paint... I like the patina.. But, it means I need to put the doors back together.. all the seals, weatherstrips, and hardware. I have checked out several vendors and wonder if anyone has had good success with particular ones. Any advice would be appreciated. |

That is a nice one. CST w/air, and straight. I wouldn't paint it either.

Wow - that is really nice for Michigan! Congrats on the new truck.
for seals, weatherstrtip, hardware, etc - I would check with Dave at Rustbelt Restorations in your area first - he's in Owosso. Great guy to work with! Tell him I sent you. https://www.facebook.com/Rustbeltrestorations/ |

Re: My new 70 project
By the way... its not originally a Michigan truck.
I bought from someone in AZ.. but had only had it a few months. Previously owner was in WA. |

www.truckandcarshop.com
http://www.lmctruck.com/ Both of these websites can pretty much get you anything you want for your rig. If one doesn't have it the other one usually does. Compare prices between the two they differ sometimes. Good luck. |

Re: My new 70 project
I'll be attending Woodward also, so there should be at least a few Blazers there !!
That 70 looks almost identical to what my 70 looked like when I bought it. Would be interesting to find out how close the VIN's are. |

Mine is a very early build.... <100.
I'll probably be there most of the day Sat. Not sure where.. Any idea of a good place for Blazers to get together? |
