Step side 67-72 tail & reverse lights on 60-66

Has anybody used the step side 67-72 tail & reverse lights on the 60-66 step side bed? I like the larger tail light of the 67-72 and the look of the reverse light mounted beside the tail light. I know 66 had factory reverse lights on the fender but my fenders don't have the contour for the factory 66. See pic below of the 67-72 tail & reverse setup and a 67-72 tail on a 60-66. My concerns with putting the 67-72 on the 60-66 is I may have to drill additional holes to mount the tail light bracket since it is higher on the bedside than the 60-66 and the bigger light may interfere with the factory 60-66 bumper if I mount the tail light low and the reverse light.

I'd use something like this before cutting holes, it may work.
