Re: Woodward ??
I'll be there. I usually start tonight taking Woodward home from work, from about 14 Mile then heading north and popping out onto Baldwin Rd.
Saturday I'll make a pass or two starting from the north and trying to get as far as 11 Mile before turning around. I usually don't stop anywhere and try to keep rolling. I'll be in the Grand Prix weather permitting. (The second picture was in the Detroit Free Press article about the Woodward Cruise. A friend from California pointed it out to me). K

Re: Woodward ??
Cool, I'll look for you guys. We're going with a group of 20+ that go every year and all I know is they park on some grassy area right on the northern loop in Pontiac. One of the people going tows a huge smoker behind them so should be a good time. I've never been so don't know what to expect. I'm hoping to do a bit of cruising around but have to admit I'm a bit nervous about going to that part of Michigan.

Re: Woodward ??
Even though I'm only a few hours east, I can't get the images of dilapidated Detroit out of my head. I've never been in that area so don't know what it's like and assuming the worst, unfortunately. Thanks for the info !

Re: Woodward ??
While your there try to do the ford museum. I know that's a bad word but the museum is amazing. I always stay in Bloomfield hills and cruise to Pontiac and back a lot. People are friendly and you can find a spot just about anywhere to sit and watch all weekend. We put up a pop up tent on the grass in front of the hotel as a home base where friends can come and go as they please. Keep a cooler packed and bring some folding chairs. You will see just about everything you can imagine.

Re: Woodward ??
Didn't do one burnout, and this is how Woodward repaid me on the way home !! That little gear will cost me $1300 fu##ing dollars in repairs plus the hassle of getting back home.

Re: Woodward ??
Yup !! Original clutch type posi. I have a new Auburn unit on order as well as a new Yukon ring&pinion set. Wouldn't have been so bad if a chunk of that gear didn't go through the ring and pinion.

Re: Woodward ??
You should definately try to make it to Woodward while your in state. I drive from NJ every three or four years to take part and plan to go again next year! If Your a car or truck guy and you have a chance to go I would highly recommend it. I've gone with three different groups of friends and they all greatly enjoyed the trip.
