So I kicked the windshield out and we wrapped a chain around the dash and down through the firewall. He hooked it to his tow truck and took off at full speed and pulled the WHOLE front end off the thing. Dash and all!

Them motorhomes sure do burn quick. Be very careful when using a torch inside a shag carpeted motorhome. I had to use all of my fire fighting prowess to save the day. We put the fire out with Mountain Dew and antifreeze. He's got no water on the place.

We had to hoist the engine as high as we could and hook a chain around the hoist and his wrecker. We used the wrecker to drag the hoist away from the motorhome. The wheels ripped off of the hoist while dragging it across the gravel behind the wrecker with the big block swinging in the breeze.

I named the thing "Moto-Ghetto".

I also scored a tilt column out of the thing. They are just like the van columns everybody uses to convert to tilt. Ironbuttlcmc here on the board did the same thing in his truck. Tilt columns rule!

So this must have been one of those days to remember. You got to put out a fire and you got a 454 to boot.

It looks like you chained the engine to your truck and floored the gas pedal. So, what do you have planned for this engine??

The little 70 model truck in my signature is going to be getting the engine. I'm trying to find all of the trinkets I need as well as a Turbo 400 too.

I figure a short bed 1/2 ton with a big block should be lots of giggles to drive around.

Looks like a fun day. Gotta love it out there. Shane usually has some cool stuff out there. I've bought a few cars from him and need to get back out there again. My parts stash is getting low. Good score on the 454. Your truck looks to be coming along pretty quickly. Nothing like big block power to test your new suspension.

I know a 454 when I see it. It has the counterweighted harmonic balancer, counterweighted flywheel, 7.4 liter decal on the air cleaner.

Besides, a 366 is a tall deck engine. This isn't.
