72 C10 door gaskets
Hello to all, I'm looking for the best set of door gaskets I can find. I'd like to find a set you don't have to glue in but I'm good with either one. Most of all I'd like to be able to close the doors without any trouble. Anyone know where I can get a real nice set? Any help would be appreciated, George

Re: 72 C10 door gaskets
I pulled some, that were in good shape, out of the pick-in-pull off of an early 90s Dakota (I think). It was the square body style. Had to trim a little off of where they meet at the bottom, but seem to work pretty well. They just press onto the door seem with no glue.

Thanks 68nou1, that's the type I'd like to get but I was hoping to get a set of new ones. I'll just search around.

Re: 72 C10 door gaskets
No problem. The old glued on gaskets that I had were wasted and needed replacing. I just pulled the Dakota ones from the junk yard to see how they worked. I figured for $5 it was worth a shot. I will be ordering some new ones probably if I get around to painting my truck, but that's a whole other can of worms.

Re: 72 C10 door gaskets
Hello Larry, thanks for that web site. I checked it out and seen the "press on" door seals for my truck. I emailed Jeff and was happy to know he also has a 72 C10 pickup which he put the seals on and said he was very happy with them. They work great and the doors shut good. They are expensive but if they work for my truck (and I can't see why they wouldn't) it's worth the money. Do you know if Jeff accepts returns just in case? I forgot to ask him. Thanks Larry, George

Re: 72 C10 door gaskets
I found out Jeff does accept returns but there is a 20% restocking fee. I hope I won't need to return them. We'll see what happens.
