So Friday Night...
...around 10:00, I check into the Hampton Inn in Waxahachie for C10s in the Park. I go to unload the ol' hey hauler off the trailer. Go to start it up and... BANG, CLANK, CLANK, from underneath... WTF! I get out, try to maneuver around the trailer fenders to see what's going on, and cant see crap! So I coast the truck partially off the trailer, crawl underneath and start looking around. One loose nut & bolt, one missing nut & bolt, and one sheared off bolt wedged between the flywheel and the stall converter.
Nothing to do but wait till morning and hit Autozone/tractor supply/oreillys first thing... Big thanks to the other truck guys hanging out for pushing my truck into a parking spot!!! Got the nuts & bolts... bled some, cried some, and cursed some bolting the stall back up, and 30 minutes later, we were off to the park! Man! What a Show! anything AND everything was there! It was great to meet Ken and Chris and see all the work that went into scarlett! Here's a link to the rest of the pics... https://www.flickr.com/photos/moosti...57686827823714

That was an excellent show. Right in my backyard. Had a few great conversations.

Re: So Friday Night...
Moos... thanks for the photos. I was almost on overload just looking at the photos. Must have been cool to be there. Bit of a drive for me, but maybe someday.

Re: So Friday Night...
wife said I was having sensory overload when we first started walking around. body was going one way, head turning another, eyes twitching, didn't know which direction to point the camara. Definitely one of the coolest shows I've been a part of

Nice!! I would love to go this show but its a bit of a drive (3000 km). Awesome shots. I know the feeling, don't know which way to point the camera. Thanks for sharing. Made me feel like I was there. C10's coming out your ears. Wow. Wet my pants a little. You guys are so lucky. Last edited by 75C10; 09-21-2017 at 06:47 PM. Reason: add fact |

Re: So Friday Night...
Glad you were able to get your truck going in time to make it. My wife and I were there in her '76. It was our first time. Had over 650 trucks, and got to meet some neat local people.
