TCE53 E Brake
Hi folks. I have a 78 GMC Model TCE53 chassis on my rollback and am having trouble matching up the brake shoes that are part of the E brake system on the driveshaft. My local NAPA has been trying to match them up to no avail as of yet. There are no #'s on the shoes, though we have not drilled off the pad material to look there. I can have them relined in Savannah (1hr away) but surely they are 60/70's vintage off the shelf GM items. Any ideas on application? The rig is a std cab, sbc, 3speed w granny gear and single speed rear end...
TIA Mike T Beaufort S.C.

Re: TCE53 E Brake
Rockauto shows a set of Wagner ANA647 HD shoes for a 1980 GMC 5000 with 9" x 3" brake shoes, couldn't find an earlier medium truck application. Raybestos shows that application also, their number is 647SG Standard duty set or 647PG HD set. You can pull them up on Rockauto or google them and see if they look right. I have several medium/heavy truck brake catalogs I got from an old parts store that shut down, but they're lost somewhere in storage. I need to find them and put them with my light duty books, the online catalogs don't have many listings for older trucks.
