New glove box door latch/lock?

Anyone know where I can buy a new glove box door lock, for my 87 Sliverado? Mine seems pretty worn out. I'm also having a pretty hard time just getting it situated well enough to work. I took off the glove box door to do some other work, and its giving me grief. But even before that it was pretty flaky. Since its such a small item, so easy to replace, and likely fairly cheap, I'll just replace it with one that works properly. So anyone know of a good place to buy a new one? Are they even sold anymore?

You can buy them from Summit Racing. Mine is actually coming UPS later today. Made by a company called Goodmark. Part #: GMK4021524704. You can get them from LMC too, but you've gotta buy the individual components. I'll check mine out when it comes in and reply with an assessment of fit and finish.

It looks like a really well made little piece. The only negative being that it comes disassembled. Like, entirely disassembled. The tumblers, the springs, all of it. In individual bags. Guess I'll be learning how to assemble a lock cylinder.

Haha... guess I will be too then. Thanks for that part number!

Also, let me know how it goes. How hard it was to assemble and how well it works would be welcome information. Also the reviews on summit say that it does not come with a key. Don't know if a new key is even necessary though. Maybe it just sort of works with any of the little GM keys.

I found this one. Seems to come more assembled than the one you describe, and has a key.

I ordered one of these from them for my 74 C10. Was assembled w/key. Fit perfect w/no problems.

Can anyone confirm if it is the same lock that is on the burb center consoles? Got a console and seats I'm going to put in.

Nice find! Wish I'd seen that one before pulling the trigger. To be honest, I'll probably end up just taking it to a locksmith for assembly and having him key the tumblers to fit my door key while he's at it. I'm a two key kind of cat. 3 is just asking too much haha.

Yeah that company actually has a lot of good stuff that can be hard to find. Several years ago they also had a lot of original GM door panels and dash pads. I should have bought some then because they're getting hard to find now.
