Firewall pad
Wondering if a 71/72 pad is cut out for the cable throttle assembly, anyone have a pic?

Re: Firewall pad
Interestingly enough, I took a bunch of pictures when deconstructing my truck, but none of the firewall pad itself. I do have some shots of the original pad in the background, when I was taking photos of the electrical wires and stuff under the dash, but I don't know if I got the area you need to see. The pad I have now is an aftermarket re-pop.
Let me know the general area you need to see, and I'll check if I have any pictures that happen to capture that area on the pad.

Re: Firewall pad
The triangular piece that the pedal pivots on is bolted over the pad. There are 3 little round holes in the pad for the bolts to go through.

Re: Firewall pad
Right on, thanks for your help! It appeared that way based on the 3 raised holes on the plastic piece.....wanted to do it right the first time!

Re: Firewall pad
Just be sure you get the correct year and you should be good. Only cause 67-68's have the sideways fuse box cutout.
Only problems I had with my 67 was the aftermarket plastic fasteners were way too tight to push through the oe holes, I ordered a set,and the pads came with a set and I ended up using oe rubber ones anyway since I didn't wanna drill
