'82 Scottsdale 3+3 12v Cummins
Found it on CL, flew out to Arizona and drove it back. I now have a few of each generation. Bought this one to semi DD and haul my other c10's.
Some backstory. It's 2 owner truck. PO owned it for 18 years. According to the PO, the original owner purchased the crate 12v brand new and had it installed in '91. It's completely original. It's an industrial version (not much difference) and runs extremely strong. It has a freshly built th400 with a gear vendor under overdrive unit. Cruises 75-80 no problem and gets very close to 20mpg. Right before I hit the road back to Texas: I haven't done much except start taking all the diamond plating off. I want to lower it a little, but not much and I want it to still ride decent. I also want some alcoa like, or big steel wheels for it. I'm currently thinking of doing the 3" Western Chassis drop spindle and they're 4" rear spring pack. Last edited by w00dst0ck; 10-10-2017 at 03:37 PM. |
