Did some more junkin'... Pics

Weather has been nice and had a little slack time at work so I hit up some yards I haven't been to in awhile.
The first yard only had 1 72 in it by the crusher. Another yard had none left, and one of my better yards had crushed at least 20 67-72 trucks and burbs... 4x4s and shortbeds included... (Moment of silence here)

This stuff is disappearing quick... now get out there and find some goodies!

Re: Did some more junkin'... Pics

The pile of late 70s hubcaps cleaned up ok. Possibly early take offs.
I wish the truck was still there that had this glovebox door...
Anyone recognize this am/fm radio?
And a couple of decent gates. The blue one was from a swap meet the weekend before.

Damn, you guys still have some good yards. The only stuff ever in yards around here is so dilapidated that it's almost not worth the time to even look. I'm jealous.

Haha, it feels that way here sometimes too. But the price of these trucks is just getting ridiculous. A used up 67-72 longbox with basic equipment and no useable body panels are going for $1500 and up. It's just getting stupid.

I could use the 4X4 metal upper radiator hose if it is solid and you want to sell it. Let me know. Thanks, Rick - upon another look I think it is a preheater tube. Anyways, if you have a 4X4 hose let me know.

Re: Did some more junkin'... Pics

There are no decent yards around here. The few that remain have only late models and will not allow anybody to go in. There are still a few i know about in the not so go parts of st louis and every once in while you might spot some late 70s trucks but usually they get picked clean pretty fast.

Wow, Nice score Eric!! I do believe that AM-FM is a 1968 Pontiac. That motorhome you pictured is an all aluminum Corvair "Ultra Van" (Yup Corvair powered) worth a good chunk of change to the right person.

You are a wealth of knowledge mark!. Radio looks pretty similar to one on ebay right now.

The motorhome was just too cool. Had some damage in the front, but could probably be saved yet.

I saw an episode of American Pickers where the fellas went bat-spit over a mini motorhome that looked real close to that one -- cool

Re: Did some more junkin'... Pics

People on this forum http://corvaircenter.com/phorum/list.php?1 would be interested in that Corvair camper. They are numbered and people know where many are. They may be aware of that one, but possibly not. It could be worth some money to get more info and a price on it and contact the Corvair group.
