69-72 Roof Rack

Cant seem to find a Hickey Rack anywhere and i need a roof rack for my K5. What else are people using for racks other than the elusive hickey rack?

Re: 69-72 Roof Rack

The bottom bows are made with stainless the top bows are chromed steel don't have a clue why. The top bows are gone so over the last couple of years I found 2 piece of stainless tubing, I clamped the one in the vise and made it oblong so the end would fit. In the process I dropped the tubing and broke the one end off which is when I stopped. The end is hollow so I think if you made a plate to match the other ends with a pin and inserted in the hole it would support the bow but just guessing here. One of the top bows stays stationary and the other is adjustable with the thumb screws. 100 pus shipping, if interested send me your zip and I will get you a quote. If you need more pictures let me know and I will get them.
