1960 Door latch...aftermarket or?
My door latch on the drivers side has never worked correctly. It locks but will not open the door from the inside. Just wondering if anyone has had exp with the aftermarket ones? Just hate to buy a used one and have the same issue..
1960 Short fleet... Thanks |

Pulled it apart.. It appears just a bend was the problem, I bent it back and it works correctly although obviously the metal is fatigued so it will probably happen again. Possibly need to replace but hate to replace things with Chinesium.

Did you pull the interior panel off to see if you can see the issue?

It's usually an adjustment or tweaked linkage problem

If I remember right...you have the door handle relay's switched rt/lt sides. The rod should be diagonal thru the access opening opposite of what you would think...I'm searching my build pictures but I did the same thing...You should be pushing on the latch instead of pulling
