22s on 69
I'm thinking about bagging my 69 on 22s. Has anybody on this site done that yet? Got pics of something similar or suggestions about how to go about it?

Am I the only one who thinks that wheels have gone over the edge?
I've had 17s on my stuff, and they were fine, but crap, my fire truck has 22 inch wheels. It's a truck! A half ton with 22s.. No seriously, I don't think I've seen anyone here with bigger than 20s. Lots of guys here a kind of poor and don't have the scratch for things like that.

There are a few around, but I don't see them on here often. Here's one tucking 20's to the ground....

Tx: I agree that wheels have gone overboard. 22s are the biggest thing that I would even consider. I don't like 20s because they come factory on dodges and harleys. Gotta have something bigger than factory trucks. Look at it this way, at least I'm not trying to put them on a civic.
N2TRUX: May not be 22s but that's what I want to see. Got any pics of the rear. The only way that I'd put 20s on is if there was going to be a fitment problem Last edited by SEMOscrew; 10-31-2003 at 12:55 PM. |

I think the only thing the bigger "dubs" need to be left on are the ridiculously stupid "homeboy" version of the Escalades and the Puke-on's and lets not forget the ever-popular Ha-Ha-Ha-Handa's!!

I'm not a fan of big wheels either....give me a set of 15x10 Centerline Hellcats and some 295/50's and i will be happy
The other day i saw a beat up and rusting '90 K1500 with a set of 20's on it 20's look OK on new trucks....but 18" is as big as i would go on a 67-72 IMO

YEP ... I'M WAITING ON SOMEONE TO COME OUT WITH SOME RIMS THAT ARE AT LEAST 26" OR 28". THEN I COULD GET SOME TIRES THAT HAVE ABOUT AS MUCH SIDEWALL AS A RUBBER BAND OR O-RING. THEN I WILL PRACTICE TALKING LIKE A GANGSTER & GET ME A SOUND SYSTEM WITH 42 16" SPEAKERS THAT CAN BE HEARD THUMPIN BASE 3/4 OF A MILE AWAY. YEH THATS THE TICKET. I'LL BE THE COOLEST GUY AROUND.

the bigger the wheels the bigger the fitment problems.
