Funny but Kewl

Good Morning

had bought a used set of 68-72 bedsides about 6 months ago , marietta georgia, im in about 60 miles north of indy, reasonably long haul,
took a couple days off, left sunday around 10, got the bedsides, headed back

hotel in dalton, got up and ready next morning, 2 different guys asked for sure what years, lol, 3 gas stops and a hd shop, guy at hd shop stopped talking to his buddy to ask what year, lot of stories between these guys,

saw a blue 70 on a trailer headed there, a primer gray 71 in tennessee, and on way back saw a bright yellow (think 68 shortbed ) on a trailer

Funny/Kewl

That's the right attitude. I like the thread about dudes truck being all old and rusty, yet he still washes and drives it everyday. Still gets complements on it everyday. Its humbling, in a true sense, most of these rigs are cut up, dropped, torn apart for pieces. I try and keep mine as original as possible.

Just like I do mine.

Re: Funny but Kewl

That’s the most common question I get when driving my truck, “what year is it?” I always tell them 2017, why don’t they know that?

Yeah, what year is the first question and it usually ends with them telling me I ought to fix it up as if that never occurred to me. Amazing how quickly they become experts. It usually ends there because my reply as I'm hopping in is "It already is". That's when they get to hear what the other, maybe more often comment I hear. "Sounds great!"

I'll tell them the current year too. my truck is multiple shades of neglect. When I'm asked a timeline on "finishing" it I usually respond its done. Their responses vary..
