Lowering my 73 gmc 3/4 ton
Dont want to swap it to 1/2 ton. What is the best kit to lower my truck?

Depends on how far you wanna drop your truck.
You'll need 1 ton drop spindles, and calipers for the front. I would take the overloads off, and look at a flip kit. Or moving up the hangers. This all depends what you want in the end. Also while at it they have a semi floating 14 bolt that I am fond of. Which is slightly smaller allowing a bigger drop before cutting the bed. |

POL makes drop spindes. No need to change brakes. You can weld on a new set of perches.

Like I stated above, Western Chassis makes the correct spindles and springs to properly lower a 3/4 and 1 ton chassis.
I lowered my truck and didn't have to change any brake calipers, brake hoses. Ball joints,ect. It was a nut and bolt swap of parts. Stop making sound so hard to do, the parts are there. There not cheap by any means. I paid $1000.00 for the parts on my truck from Western Chassis. No issue's Lowering a bigger truck isn't done cheap. Ken

I used POLs control arms and cut a coil off the stock springs. For the rear I did a hanger and shackle but I may put some lowering springs from POL on mine. A buddy of mine did the same with Western Chassis stuff with the same results as well. The only thing I found was the 1 ton front hanger had to drill out a hole or two in the frame to work.
