Check out my Buddy's truck!
He is a GM parts guy. This is his new truck he's building.
An 85 short bed CREW CAB 4x4 half-ton!

He doesn't even have a computer
Suffice to say this, without his help, selling me truck parts at great prices, I could not have old trucks to play with. A helpful GM dealership guy is worth his weight in gold! Here's my old 72, which I sold to him, that he drives daily.

That crew cab is sweet. I think the mirrors fit the truck better being a lifted 4x4 and not a lowered truck. At least it's not the really large camper style mirrors.

Tx Firefighter , Give us some more details about it. I'm not in to 4wd anymore, but I love short-crewcabs. I had a 97 short-crew and loved it. Now I have a 02 1500HD short-crew.
What did he do to build it? Did he shorten the 1 ton frame, or stretch a 1/2 ton? Give us details, and some better pics please....:p

It must be the difference in the 1 ton frame then. I had a buddy of mine convert a 4wd Blazer to 2wd then a few years later, back to 4wd. Besides drilling some holes, "most" of the stuff bolted on.
Regardless, I still love it. If I ever get my 82 Blazer finished, I want to build one myself... |
