Base model bench seat foam?
Originally what height was the base model bench foam? I measured my current foam and it was around 1 1/2.

Your local fabric store should carry some firm 1" foam and burlap

If the fabric store carries carpet padding cut some strips and hog ring them around the edge to soften it , You can also add a 4-5" wedge at the seat side edge to help get rid of the "falling towards the door feeling "

Buy the top layer of foam at least 8" longer and wider than the seat frame , Like 66-68" x 30" So it can wrap around and under the springs , Then you can check your cover for fit , You may want to add 1 layer of Dacron padding across the entire seat to help with fitment .
