1966 c60 questions
Local to me a guy has a 66 c60 c60 dump he wants to sell. 292 he says 5 speed but I forgot to look when I checked it out. 2 speed rear. It has no brakes pedal right to the floor. Been off the road about 10 years. Has hydrovac and 10 lug 20 inch split budd rims all around.
Question 1 is how hard are 22.5 tubeless rims to find? I k kW they make them new but that's not happening. Figuring good used ones. Question. 2. How hard are brake parts to get. I k kW I can order a rebuilt hydrovac but I would want to do a master all the rubber hoses and wheel cylinders. How hard are they to find as well as stuff like shoes and drums. |

Re: 1966 c60 questions
Not real sure on either question, but I like the truck.
Sheet Metal looks good and I like 10-Lug Fronts, as well as the Tow Hooks.

Re: 1966 c60 questions
I also don’t really have your answer but I’m getting ready to build my 66 C50 and mine has all new rims, tires, and I was told all new brakes. I’m planning on trying to sell all of that stuff since I’m putting a newer front end under mine and a newer rear axle. Looks like you aren’t real close but if you’re needing parts let me know!

Re: 1966 c60 questions
What size wheels are on your c50? Are they 22.5 10 lug. What would you want for them just out of curiosity?

2 the brake master cylinder on a 66 c60 is unique to that year only as far as I can tell. I had to rebuild mine but since then I found them on ebay for around 90.00. just be sure that they have the exact same size bores. they are big I think 1.25 and 1.5" . if you don't get the right size the clutch and brakes will not operate properly. I ordered new wheel cylinders for the front and all new rubber lines from my local auto parts store. not very expensive. have not done the back ones yet. shoes were in good shape. |
