adding baffles to not efi tanks
Has anyone successfully added baffles to a non efi tank to make it an efi tank?
Just curious what's out there and has been used successfully before I have to sell and buy new tanks. |

you could use something like this if your worried about starving your pump......http://www.superchevy.com/how-to/add...ick-up-system/

I'm not even sure what the stock baffles look like? Baffles in an intake pump setup keep constant liquid around the pump to ensure it doesn't cavitate. They need a constant feed of good quality liquid to ensure the output pressure remains constant. Quote:

Re: adding baffles to not efi tanks
You can run a non baffle tank with no problem ( internal pump or external pump ) . Just dont let it get below 1/4 tank of fuel . If it gets to low pump gets some air and the engine will stumble or die . Most likely during braking .
I bought a new tank for mine . Seems like it was somewhere about $100.00 . Was not to bad . I dont think it would be worth the hassle for that . |
