Thread on Thread...
So the previous owner of my 72 decided they wanted a folding seat...
They cut a slit and removed the 2 bolts on either side of the hinge. Now I want to put them back in but have NO idea what size they are. I've been going through my bolt bin (hasn't worked) and I was trying to avoid removing the lower corners of the cover but it may come to that. Before I do does anyone know the size off hand? Better yet if you have a set you want to sell me but I imagine they're standard thread taper screw that can be bought at a good hardware store... Thanks in advance! MOD

The PO of my truck did the exact same thing, so I thank you for asking this question. Doesn't seem very safe having the seat that way. |

Re: Thread on Thread...
Might not be, but that's the way they all were from '67 and earlier.

With the bolt out of mine (Also 69 Tom's) the seat goes back to the rear cab wall and also pushes on the fuel tank.... Thanks to Randy for the info! MOD

Re: Thread on Thread...
No kidding. I actually had no idea. Pretty crazy. I think I’ll put my bolts back in.
