Header mount mufflers?
Is anyone running the glasspacks or mufflers that mount to the header flange? If so which headers to you get for a SBC that will allow you to do this without the glasspack angling down towards the ground?
Thanks, Dennis |

Hooker super comps do not angle to the ground.
If you are doing a complete exhaust system, then these header mounted glass packs are not the way to go. The further down stream you mount the muffs, the less of an impact they will have on performance. However if you are just stabbing them on there to keep the 'fuzz' off your case and to keep your ears from bleeding...then they will do OK. |

I remmember back in my hot rodding days we used to hang Thrush mufflers off our headers. Quick removal. My Camaro sounded like a dang helicopter at 35.
You also don't want to pump those fumes into your cab. I get a headache just thinking about it. |
