lost and found
we all have a one truck in our memories that started it all, mine was my grandpas '69 c10. about 16 years ago I went and lived with him down in georgia. His daily driver was this light blue c10, 3 on the tree and a supposed 327 out of a school bus.. Last know existence of the truck was that the motor blew up shortly after i moved back to minnesota... then time flew by in a hurry until june 2016, i got a call from my mother that changed everything, my grandfather passed away... we were just finishing taking pictures to announce that we were set to have a baby girl in september... He lived a long life as a hell raising outlaw and planted the c10/hot rod culture firmly in my 16 year old head..
with in a few hours my friend loaned me his truck and i hooked up our 2 place car trailer and 1,100 miles later i stepped on to my grandfathers property were all i was told was he had a few cars on the property with no real idea what was left, long over grown with thorn bushes and poison ivy, and no one went back near them for a long time. this is the video of what i saw on that 103 degree day... the silence was deafening. https://youtu.be/PF3WiIu1jKQ

Re: lost and found
one last parting shot after loading my grandfathers prized vehicles, '78 king cobra and the '69 c10
once back home in minnesota they both kind of stood by as i was set to have my first kid, but they were home and protected Fast forward to now, my daughter is a year and a half old and have moved into a house suitable for getting the truck back on the road..

Re: lost and found
Sorry to hear about your grandpa, but that's a pretty cool story.
Keep us posted with the projects. Love the pictures.

Re: lost and found
been picking away each weekend on the truck when ive had time.
Since the truck hasnt been washed or kept inside for years, i started giving it a comet scrub down, pretty great results. pulled out most of the interior and the old gas tank since its sat outside with no gas cap for years.. put in a new replacement tank, sender, fuel line, holley blue fuel pump, and summit carb and summit fuel pressure regulator. carpet and rubber mat combo wasnt nice to 2 spots of the floor..

Re: lost and found
couldnt figure out why i couldnt get my alternator mounted and tried a few different brackets... short versus long water pump and the sweet moroso gold valve covers make for a pain in the neck. threw the stock valve covers off the old motor on it and everything fell into place..
While i got the truck with no keys since it was willed to me from my grandpa.. i was cleaning out the inside of the truck and i have checked the glove box before it i checked again and found the broke ignition key..

Re: lost and found
ended up getting a good haul of parts on saturday. guy was selling 2 cabs in rough shape and have some other parts he wanted to get rid of, glad i brought a trailer... cabs were pretty rough and picked over but got some stuff i needed. the first cab has been cut up for a few people. neither have numbers or titles and being mn cabs, plenty of rust and mouse nastyness left.

Very nice! I have a cab sitting down in Rapid City, SD 8 hours away from me but i may be having my son a few weeks early so might have to wait a few more weeks. But definitely a nice find there, keep us updated!
