Leaking doors ??? Inner panel
‘66 c10, all new seals on doors and around windows. The little beltline felts still let some water in. It seems to find its way to get through the inner door panels. The inners are covered in leather so the leather ends up wicking it up.
There is that rubber seal on door where inner panel goes, is there anything suppose to be in there to seal it up ? Don’t see any other parts there to do that when looking at parts breakdown. |

LMC Catalog page 15 item #3.
Couldn't find it in the assembly manual.

Re: Leaking doors ??? Inner panel
Yea I’m going to put new seals that are 3 on the drawing. Hoping that does it. There are small holes just above that rubber that seem like they should be plugged.

Re: Leaking doors ??? Inner panel
You can also do like they do with the newer cars and put the plastic sheet under the door panel. I have been looking at doing it on mine. Plan is to attach it at the top under the door panel and make it long enough to tuck in at the bottom so it is inside the door. That way any water that gets in gets kept away from the inside of the door. My door panels are covered also and I also have a lower panel and it is getting wet.

Re: Leaking doors ??? Inner panel
I noticed that the doors just leak. No matter what, even though I replaced all the seals and rubber. My added solution was to nuke the inside of the door with a sealed rubberized coating and make sure the drain holes were free.
