60 Emergency brake cable
The new e-brake cable does not fit the hole in the backing plate. Loose and rattles around in it. I suppose I could spread the fingers on the clip that holds it in the backing plate way out and it would probably stay in there and then smear some sort of sealer around it and the hole to keep the road dirt and moisture out. Is that what everybody else does? Where does everybody buy their parts?
I am new to the 60 - 66 pickup thing being a long time 57 passenger guy. The quality level of the repro parts for these trucks is pure garbage. Probably going to send these back too. Spend some time with some penetrating oil and try to get my old ones freed up, cleaned up and reuse them..... |

Re: 60 Emergency brake cable
I didn't know Inline Tube sold e-brake cables too. I've bought brake lines from them and sent them back as they were made in the wrong size. Prob not going to buy anything from Inline Tube again....
