72 K10 Smother Leaf Spring Suggestion

Hello guys, I just added a 1972 K10 4x4 to my truck collection, I'm still learning so please ignore my ignorance.

When driving my truck is so stiff from the front suspension, I friend of mine told me he put softer leaf springs to his K5 but he forgot the brand. I want to keep the leaf springs, I can't bring the back leaf springs to the front or do any major project, changing leaf spring and adding new shocks seems to be good for me.

Any recommendations for a smoother drive? He also mentions putting 2 shocks in front with an addon bracket where the original goes.

2 shocks makes it stiffer for the most part .

you need a good QUALITY shock not just a off the shelf one .

bilstien shocks are the big ticket these day for our old school trucks .

A leaf spring stack of 2 or more leaves can benefit from a slippery poly inner leaf liner. A google search should find it. May need a longer center pin bolt. I did this on a 47 willy's pickup after gas shocks and new taller tires. Rode awesome, especially being driven from a 69 300hp small block hooked to a wide ratio saginaw to the stock t18 t case. Scout auto lock front diff, and a posi ford rear diff was fun flinging snow and drifting around in the crappiest weather.
