Hello from a new member
After having a 72 super cheyenne in high school and selling it after getting a new graduation car 23 years later I’m going to build a truck to enjoy with the family — found a 71 shortbed with a 6.0 from a trailblazer ss and 4l60e. Just got it home from Michigan Monday Plans are to go black/white with a 4/6 drop

Re: Hello from a new member
plan is paint it black and white with the cab being black .Also a 5/7 drop and will be putting on a new cab because I want the drip rail on it --already have Dakota digital gauges, vintage air, wilwood brakes, cpp upper and lower tubular a arms, along boyds efi tank among numerous other goodies ordered and on the way--will be using a snowden custom seat and American racing burnout heritage series custom shop wheels with 20x8.5 in front and 20x10 on the rear

Re: Hello from a new member
One suggestion take that pile of crap 4L60E and give it its last rights.Best tras for the money is the 4L80E with the TCI harness its a plug and play system.
The 4L60E has a krap load of problems. The 4l80E No Problems Plus if your going with the 6.0 motor why not best motor should have the best Transmission |

Re: Hello from a new member
I actually mistyped. It’s a 4l70e from an 07 trailblazer ss as is the 6.0. Is this a better trans or would you still go with the 80 ?

Nice find. Looks great already. Did I read that right that you replacing the cab? If so is that one for sale? I’m only 90 minutes north of you.

Re: Hello from a new member
No actually using a donor cab that the drip rails were on and grafting those pieces to this cab and putting on a new goodmark roof skin
