Rare 2 door Suburban?
Hey guys, saw this on craigslist. Ad says it's from Mexico, but did they take a panel truck and add windows?

Re: Rare 2 door Suburban?
Not sure of the history but I saw a 67-72 panel with rear windows in a scrap yard once. It seemed to be professionally done if not from the factory.

Re: Rare 2 door Suburban?
Interesting truck, maybe it was an ambulance or other service vehicle. It looks like it has a heater delete plate in the dash. I know there was a thread about Brazilian trucks a while back and some about square bodied Mexican trucks. But no luck on Suburban from below the boarder.

Re: Rare 2 door Suburban?
The Mexican registration card [pic 3 of 6] lists it as a PANEL. We won't know without asking the PO or original owner if it came with windows or if they were installed later. Seats are from later vintage. So it's been "Suburbanized." Do the rear windows roll down?
Nice truck.

Re: Rare 2 door Suburban?
If it's a panel the cargo floor will be level all the way to behind the front seat. Suburban cargo floors run to behind the second seat.

Re: Rare 2 door Suburban?
Since it's 763 miles to Pasadena, Texas from Tucson, Arizona, I'm not going to hop over and check it out.
Who knows how GM of Mexico builds their Panel trucks? Did ,,GM de M'' build Subs with only 2 doors? IDK I support Mike's theory that it was a Panel truck that either came with windows or got them added. ,,Quien sabe? Kimosabe.''
