CPP adapter to use 3/4 center support bearing on C10
I ran across this the other day and thought it was a decent idea. Anyone use one yet?

Have not used one, did not know such a part existed.
The design still utilizes the 2 inline bolts that hold it to the cross member. Not the best way to mount that deal. That improved part looks like it might be a little more sturdy...maybe... |

My thought is the 1/2 ton one breaks apart, and the 3/4 will be more durable.

Good enough idea I suppose, why wouldn’t you just remove the wimpy half ton support bracket and install the hd driveshaft bracket, half tons with a big block use the 3/4 ton style bearing and driveshaft.

The porterbilt crossmember allows the conversion. Did it on mine.

Re: CPP adapter to use 3/4 center support bearing on C10
Bought one thinking I could use my 3/4 shaft in my half ton.But the holes on my bracket were much narrower than carrier bearing holes. Also part seemed very thin almost sheet metal thin. So I ended up making my own with some 1/4” plate. So far so good.
