1946 GMC 1 ton dually $3900
1946 GMC 1 ton Dually, found it in a field where it was parked in 1958. Belonged to the ex wifes Grandfather, who bought it brand new. original motor was trashed, replaced with 1953? Gmc 228 6 cyl, same size motor as original. trans is original, clutch was sent off and rebuilt. Rear axle is mid 70s 14 bolt dually, I think 3.73 gears. front axle is original 46, with chevy 8 lug drums and 60's dual wheel adapters. front tires are 4 years old, with almost no miles. Truck has new wiring harness and rebuilt 12 volt dash, also generator was rebuilt to 12 volt. currently has a wooden flatbed that is starting to wear, and a 50's steel bed, I think it is an International that needs a lot of repair. carb was replaced 4 years ago also Fuel tank is a saddle tank. Truck runs and drives, all lights work, has a clear Texas title. Frame is still all original, has not been cut. my plans were to keep it a dually and build the 228 up to a 302, but divorce leads to a need to sale. drivers fender needs lots of work, as do running boards. Brakes were changed to 70 chevy master cylinder and front brakes were switched to Bendix from huck. asking $3900
