Changing gears
I have this carrier
EATON Aftermarket Carrier Style Clutch-type Axle Shaft Spline Quantity 30 Carrier Material Steel Carrier Series 3 Cover Bolts 12 Manufacturer of Axle GM Designed for 2.76-3.42 gear ratios. Is there any way to put 3.73 gears on it? Thanks |

Re: Changing gears
That's a great question, unfortunately I don't have an answer. I figure once one guy answers the rest will follow

Re: Changing gears
Yes you can. I just did it. Had the 3:07's replaced with 3:73's. You have to get the thicker ring gear or run a spacer. Photo shows my replacement. Hope this helps.

Re: Changing gears
Sweet. I hate running 1400rpm at 60 on the highway. My 383 and fitech aren’t happy running that low of rpms
