Here's some pics of my project.

Some history: Owned the truck since 90 and drove it for about five years in its original condition. I'm the second owner and it's an original California truck (which I really appreciate since I'm from the "rusty" midwest). Most of the paint was original and it is an original Cheyenne with factory air, but had a 3 on the tree when I purchased it. I converted to an auto with a factory tilt and found a tach cluster. After the purchase I lowered it and found the American "daisyies" for it. Pulled the 4bolt 350 back in 93 and did a quicky performance rebuild.....maybe 325hp +/-. drove for a couple years and parked it. Began rebuild about a year ago or so.

First pic is after the front end was taken off.....obviously.

Frame going back together. was completely disassembled and blasted and covered with a Sherwin Williams etching epoxy which is the perfect satin black. Stepped lower A arms with tubular uppers (Brother's) and a 1.25" front sway bar. Slotted and crossdrilled rotors. C-notched rear.

AND finally!......

Chassis back together minus fuel tank and brake lines.

Got my block back the other day. It's the original 350 4bolt bored out 40 over with an eagle forged 3.75 crank and H beam rods which equated to I think 385 0r 388 cubic inches. Got a set of Edelbrock RPM heads and a Weiand 142 blower that will go on it and should make somewhere toward 500 hp and a whole lot of torque.

Struggling on the tranny thing......would be easiest to put in a built 200r4, but got the itch for a 6-speed...........more money, but would sure be hella fun........any input appreciated!

As for the body, plan on a color change even though I like the way it looks now......just want a change. Probably gonna be a steel blue color with the lower moulding only and I found someone that sells Cobra type wheels with the 5/5 bolt pattern. Even though they are kinda Ford, I love em and thought they would look *****in.

That's my current plan.........BUT BELIEVE ME.......I change my flippen mind all the time!

C-notch

First of all, very nice start. Second, is it me or are using a c-notch to run the exhaust system thru and out around. OR is just the way it looks in the pic.
Thanks Bowtie
