It's a project!!!

Hey peoples, I have been lurking and drooling over the 67/72 trucks on here for a while.. I have always loved this style truck.. I have been wanting to rebuild one for many years, and well the time has finally come to do so.. kinda new to useing the forums and photobucket from my phone, sry if things aren't right the first few post..

So I started with a 72 c10 lwb, was in rough shape and missing a lot of parts. But it was a start!!!

At this point I was gonna do a no limit rear chassis kit, as well as a slew of other upgradeable things.. the cab was rusted very badly, so I started hunting for a "better" cab. Which turned up this 68 4spd cab.. not in bad shape.. the doors and cowl are the only cab parts I kept off the original 72..

That's pretty much where the cab sits, it needs typical, rockers, cab corners, floor sections, and inner cowl and firewall replacement..

On to the chassis, the original was rotted and bent behind the rear coils, which would have been a easy fix. But is selling some parts locally a guy told me about a craigslist add.. so I went and found a 68 swb frame!!!

I kept the posi unit outta the 72 rear end and the swb frame had 373 gears.. sounds like a good combo!!!

So only been into this a few months, and got a long way to go.. will post more when progress happens.. thanks

Welcome from North Carolina. You don’t need photobucket to post pictures here. Go under advance settings when you reply and there is a paper clip for attachments. Click on that and you can upload your pics. I usually do one at a time, otherwise it has given me a hard time.
