1965 3 speed linkage
I must have the wrong linkage from my column shift to the transmission. They are to short and one of them is two big to go into the column. It is for a 3 speed in a 65 c10. The transmission is out of a 67 or 68. What linkage do I need to make this work in my 65

Re: 1965 3 speed linkage
If I remember correctly, the rods you want don't (or didn't) exist. The older rods won't fit the newer trans levers, the newer rods don't fit at the the older column, and the overall rod shape, length, and configuration are not the same. Years ago, I had a local shop graft early and late rods together for a similar set up, but I was never quite happy with the feel of it. Too much flex made shifting feel less than positive. Perhaps that shop could've made it better by tweaking the rods a bit, but I sold the truck before ever getting it right.

Re: 1965 3 speed linkage
Ok so after buying a set of rods from a 67-69 chevy 6 cylinder truck I found out that oem4me was right and they did not work. Is there a good 3 speed floor shifter any one would recommend
