Heads manifolds
Hi folks:
Do you know if the heads manifolds can be paint coated whit high temperature paint? |

Intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, and heads can all be painted. Exhaust manifolds will require very-high-temperature paint - plan on 600 degrees or so for a normally-aspirated GM engine.

It is for most of us, not sure about California.........
Local auto parts stores, Summit Racing, Jegs, etc all stock different types of engine paint. Ive had good luck with VHT brand. |

I bought high heat clear for my Buick exhaust manifolds at O'Reilly's.

There a YouTube video out there where the VHT high temp stuff was tested on headers. These guys first tested at normal heat and found the VHT high temp stood up just fine.
Then they retarded the timing and went for a super high heat run. The VHT paint held up once again. Don't have a link sorry. -klb
