Broken Exhaust Hanger Help
Hey all, after taking a gravel road a little too fast I started noticing an occasional grinding noise under the cab at low speeds and occasionally at red lights, and more exhaust rattle while parked. So I crawled underneath the truck and found where she's rattling at at least. An exhaust hanger seems to have broken. At least it looks like a metal piece on the bottom there broke off, and it sure has a lot of wiggle to it. Is my best bet to get some metal hose clamps and try to sturdy it up?

Re: Broken Exhaust Hanger Help
I bought new hangers at my locally-owned CARQUEST store.

Re: Broken Exhaust Hanger Help
Thanks for the advice rocket, I got it fixed after a trip to Oreilly's (No local owned shop open here on Sunday's). No more loud exhaust rattle! Though the truck is still making that grinding noise, so unfortunately that must be a different issue. My u-joints look okay, so off to find more things to troubleshoot haha
