Bellatrix - 1966 c10
Newbie here. Just wanted to introduce myself (Regina, but friends call me Murphy) and to basically just say I will be stalking these pages for some time to come. Pretty much since I was 12 I have wanted a C10 and I finally found one to turn into my own project truck. (That bish is still sitting on a rented trailer because I finally got it home around midnight last night)
Previously I had an 87 bagged dime and 02 Silverado with a simple 5/6 drop. More so was into just cruising, but this truck, I am so freaking excited about. I dubbed her Bellatrix Lastrange (pictured) (I am a huge nerd sooo... yeah haha.) Since this project will basically be a whole new world to me, what is one of the first things you guys started with when starting your own project? Motor and tranny will be closer to the end of my list but I am very much contemplating an LS swap in it. |

Welcome to the forum
It looks like the body is pretty decent. A couple things you might consider starting with is the steering and brakes. Make it safe to start with.

First things? Depends on what you want. A quick safe driver or a complete project and have the $$$ to finish it. I really enjoy the build as it's like Art-work. Build it your way. Even 100% stock build, just to get it 99% is the fun part. Have fun--good start.
