Thumbs up C-50

Local to me here in Liberty SC.

20' steel bed C-50
The guy said it ran and has good hydrolic's and the brakes work fine he said.
Has 366 big block with two speed rear end.
Make him a offer for it but I don't need it are want it.

He had another Chevy just like it but rougher shape and the flat bed was gone.
He had a GMC short dump bed also all had the 366 in them. They where all C-50's.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Cool heavy medium tandem. I bet it's a '70 and a 5spd. You can tell it's a 366 because the 427s have a badge extended off the vents that says 427. Check out the dual belt pulleys. Built Chevy tuff! I wish I could handle hauling it up here.

Tim every time I asked about price he just refer back to the bed being $5000.00 when new when he had it installed! I figured he wasn't going to let it go for any less than that. I was just posting it since it's a cool old truck. I'm not interested in it at all, other than the fact it's a Chevy!

Oh it's a 1 owner to.
with less than 1000,000 on it he said. It was his farm truck. He said it hasn't ever been further than Greenville SC which is about 20 miles away.

Re: C-50

Interesting truck.

But with Spoke Wheels and Air Brakes, the truck should be a C-60.

Especially so if it is a factory Tandem.

If I remember right he said he had the air brakes added to it. Not sure though.

Re: C-50

I just need that air cleaner laying in the seat. 366 & 427 were the same, right?

Harsh is the brand name of the hoist on the truck.

You can see that? Good eyes.

The only way I knew is because I am familiar with those type of pedals, along with the compressor under the hood to verify it.

But you are right, it does have Air Brakes.

Re: C-50

You're right Bill, that's how I could tell also. I don't see a compressor but I do see a Bendix E3 air brake foot valve in the firewall
